Public Fury Over Neighbor’s Call to Police About 12-Year-Old Mowing Lawn Goes Viral

How the Call to the Police Helped Reggie’s Lawncare Business

After the 12-year-old entrepreneur was confronted with the police, a GoFundMe page was set up by Reggie’s mother, Brandy Fields, with the intention of raising $1,000 for the lawncare business to update some of its equipment. Watch this video of Brandy Fields, explaining what happened:

As of today, the GoFundMe page has raised more than $48,000, with donations as high as $1,240 from a single donor. The generosity of the outraged public doesn’t stop there, though. Many people also donated equipment and even training. Shortly after the event, The Grass Guys of Twinsburg, Ohio visited Reggie with some donations. They gave him a new blower, and the friendly lawncare business also taught him to use one piece of equipment he’d just received as a donation.

The following year, Reggie was actually chosen by Cleveland Magazine as one of the “Most Interesting People 2019.” The magazine wrote an article featuring him, and they made a video sharing more about Reggie. Watch it here:
