2 Boys Walk into Taco Bell Asking for Money—Then This Soldier Notices Their Clothes…

Our soldiers are always out to serve and protect, and sometimes in a way that we least expect.

One soldier’s act recently went viral when he was captured on tape doing something remarkable for two young boys who walked into a local Taco Bell.

A 9 and 13-year-old came in selling homemade desserts to raise money for their church. Army Lt. Col. Risdon took notice of the boys and saw that they were cold and their clothes were wet.

He approached them and asked if they had eaten dinner yet. They said they hadn’t. What Risdon did next has won over the Internet.

Another customer named Jason captured the moving encounter on tape and shared the video with a caption that read: “I was in a taco bell tonight when two kids came in trying to sell home made desserts for money. I over heard a soldier ask the kids if they were hungry and told them to follow him to the counter, he would buy them dinner. I had to video it and share. Our troops are always taking care of us. Thank u LTC Robert Risdon please please share this….I heard the little one say I want to be just like u when I grow up and saluted him.”

“I’m kinda embarrassed and humbled by the praise and don’t need it,” Army Lt. Col. Risdon told The Huffington Post. “I am a believer that we live in the best country in the world with the best people and that acts of kindness happen every day.”
