9-Year-Old Escapes Kidnapper by Singing Gospel Song for 3 Hours Straight

When 9-year-old Willie Myrick was abducted in front of his home in Atlanta, he orchestrated a pretty miraculous escape.

By singing the gospel song “Every Praise” for three hours straight, his kidnapper got annoyed and dropped him right back off!

Willie was born to atheist parents and raised by his godmother who took him to church and showed him the ways of the faith.

And boy, this little guy sure is on FIRE for the Lord. While most kids his age are consumed by video games and playing with friends, he likes to spend his free time studying the Word.

He says his favorite scripture is Psalms 23: “The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want.”

The media spotlight was all over Willie after his gospel singing stunt saved him from harm’s way. He was invited on talk shows nationwide and even got to perform with the original singer of “Every Praise,” Hezekiah Walker.

However, his newfound fame is of no concern to him. He’s keeping his focus on the only thing that matters.

“It really doesn’t matter to me,” said Willie. “As long as I still have Jesus and he’s still working, doing his little magic—well it’s not magic, it’s just power.”

“If you praise the Lord, He’ll help you in mysterious ways,” added the fervent little worshipper. Well, He SURE did…
