“He told me his name is Ray… I asked if ‘King Ray’ was ok with him. … Cleaned him up just in time before he visited his 11 year old daughter that night.”
“While there’s life, there’s Hope.”
“Joe is originally from Pennsylvania, where his family has completely disowned him. He spent some time on the streets in Manhattan Beach, Ca. Somebody was kind enough to buy him a JetBlue ticket to NYC because he wanted a change of scenery. He sleeps on a nearby bench at night near the church. Here we found him on the sidewalk on 6th ave @ 57th st. He told us he spends the days not knowing when he will be able to eat again, and asked for something to eat, a hotel room, and a life. The sign he held said, ‘Give money to a dead corpse.’ “
“You look like you just went from a Third floor walk up in Alphabet city to a Penthouse in Midtown!” These guys were pretty rad.”
” ‘If we don’t take care of each other on the streets, nobody else will’ -Jackson, 20 ..Wayne, 29 and Scout, 11 months… Homeless Travelers and proud.”
“Best Mother’s Day gift I ever gave to anyone!”
“Ashley, 24, escaped an abusive relationship, which landed her on the streets for the past 2 months. She gathers just enough money throughout the day to sleep in a hostel at night. A Haircut and a Caramel Frappuccino from Starbucks brightened up her day.”
