Most kids grow up wanting to be an astronaut or a firefighter. Some want to be teachers or ballerinas. Seven-year-old Chloe Bridgewater has a full laundry-list of things she wants to do, and it all starts with working at Google.
Who wouldn’t want to work there? Chloe’s dad showed her pictures of the Google offices which are decked out with bean bag chairs, colorful work areas and even slides. It’s every 7-year-old and man-child’s dream!
Chloe knew that Google was the company she wanted to work for in the future. So she wrote a letter to the company expressing her desire to work there, and it’s possible that she sold them better than half of the company’s own legitimate applicants.

“Dear google boss
My name is chloe and when I am bigger I would like a job with google. I also want to work in a chocolate factory and do swimming in the olympics.”
Because who doesn’t?
In her letter, Chloe discusses her qualifications—she likes computers and has a tablet she enjoys playing games on.
The ambitious 7-year-old also included references stating, “My teachers tell my mum and dad I am very good in class and am good at my spelling and reading and my sums.”

Chloe’s parents were impressed to see their youngster acting on her dreams so early, but it turns out they weren’t alone in their admiration.
After hearing of Chloe’s “application,” Google CEO Sundar Pichai responded with his own letter:

Thank you so much for your letter. I’m glad that you like computers and robots and hope that you will continue to learn about technology. I think if you keep working hard and following your dreams, you can accomplish everything you set your mind to—from working at Google to swimming in the Olympics. I look forward to receiving your job application when you are finished with school! 🙂
All the best to you and your family.”
Chloe may not have gotten the job she was after, but a response from the CEO of Google is nothing to sneeze at.
Her father, Andy Bridgewater, posted the letter online with gratitude to Pichai for taking the time to write his daughter.
“She lost a great deal of confidence after being knocked down by a car a couple of years ago … can’t thank such a busy person enough to take time out to make a little girl’s dream become one step closer.”
