Manager Takes Waitress Outside to Meet Customer—When She Sees Her Car, She’s FLOORED!

Some of the best Christians I know are the ones who don’t preach Christianity, but live it. They’re the kind of people who make you feel drawn to them, simply by how they treat you, how they treat others and the way they live their lives.

It makes sense though, doesn’t it? Actions always speak louder than words.

Gary and Roxann Tackett are some of those people.

After moving to Missouri, the couple became friends with Cindi Grady, their repeat waitress at Cracker Barrel.

Cindi lives with her disabled son, and relies on an old blue car that looks like it just barely survived more than one car crash. The windows were made of plastic wrap and the hood was mangled, held down only by a ratchet strap.

Gary and Roxann noticed Cindi’s car on one of their visits and decided they would do something nice for the woman who smiles when she brings them coffee and biscuits.

Some people may have left her a big tip—some cash to help her out. But not the Tacketts.

The couple visited the restaurant one day, where the manager called Cindi out to the parking lot. She got a little anxious as she thought she was about to get in trouble. But there, she encountered Gary, who began asking her about her current car—to which Cindi just groaned.

That’s when Gary walked Cindi to a spot in the parking lot where a silver car sat waiting for her with a red bow on it.

“You’ve got to be kidding me,” Cindi said, covering her mouth in shock when she realized what the couple was doing.

I wanted to take a minute to share this since it happened in the town of Branson this weekend. On Saturday, my parents…

Generosity is contagious, and the Tackett’s selfless act started a chain reaction! When Cindi told her insurance agent and mechanic the story of her new car, they both joined the chain and waived all of the fees.

Gary and Roxann’s daughter, Chelsea Todd, shared the story of her parents’ generosity on Facebook saying, “My parents are the most generous, kind-hearted, loving people I know. I’m so proud to be their daughter.”

It’s people like the Tacketts that remind us actions speak louder than words, and caring for your “neighbor” is a beautiful thing we’re called to do!
