Mom Is “Confused” by Unusual Image in Ultrasound—When Dad Takes One Look, He’s WRECKED

People are seeing Jesus this week in the most unlikely places.

We often “see Jesus” in answered prayers and miraculous happenings, but people are literally seeing Jesus in things, and it’s bringing some a sense of hope.

It started on Monday when a North Carolina woman captured a picture of the solar eclipse that appeared to show the face of Jesus in the clouds.

Just days later, expectant parents Alicia Zeek and her fiancé, Zac Smith, went into the doctor for an ultrasound. That’s when they saw a clear image of a man watching over their daughter, just days before her birth.

Alicia says, she blinked a lot when first looking at the sonogram, because she was confused at what she saw (look far left).

“When they gave it to us… Umm, to me, it’s Jesus. And it looks like Jesus,” she tells local news.

Zac says seeing the image of a man, dressed in a robe with a crown of thorns and looking at their baby, made him emotional.

“It almost brought tears to my eyes,” he said. “I was speechless. I just couldn’t believe it, I really didn’t believe what I was seeing.”

The couple doesn’t even consider themselves particularly religious, but the image is bringing them a sense of peace as they enter into the birth of their baby girl—especially because Alicia’s past two pregnancies and births have been accompanied by a number of complications.

Her first daughter was born with pre-axial polydactyl—which means she had two thumbs on one hand.

Her second child, a son, nearly took her life, which has left Zac a complete wreck in anticipation of his daughter. “Just hearing that I could lose them both during…the…you know.”

In addition to the complications, Alicia’s son also had birth defects—a cleft lip and palette.

But while getting the ultrasound earlier this week, the technician reassured them that baby Briella looked happy and healthy.

Zac then offered Alicia some encouragement saying, “Once she said everything is good and we looked at the picture, I was like, ‘look babe, we have nothing to worry about.’”

The couple posted the sonogram photo on Facebook and asked people what they see in the sonogram.

Despite some of the responses, Zac says the image is a sign from above. “I look at it as my blessing.”
