Singer Makes Controversial Pro-Life Statement at Grammys With Hand-Painted Dress

After donning a controversial MAGA dress at last year’s Grammys, Joy Villa has made it clear she’s not one to shy away from making a statement on the red carpet with her message-bearing attire.

Last night, at the 60th Grammy Awards, the singer and songwriter came back with yet another message for America in a hand-painted gown bearing the colorful image of a fetus. The rainbow-clad Pronovias dress paired with a princess tiara and a purse that read “Choose Life” has become the all the buzz amidst the pro-life community.

“I’m a pro-life woman. This year I chose to make a statement on the red carpet like I always do,” Villa told Fox News. “I’m all about life.”

The singer says she painted the image herself as a representation of the baby girl she gave up for adoption when she was 20-years-old.

“My statement for the 60th @recordingacademy is #CHOOSELIFE,” Villa wrote on Instagram, reiterating what she told Fox. “I believe in loving the child and the mother, and I am proudly #ProLife. There is so much pain out there, but I choose to spread love and hope. I hand painted my @pronovias gown with a hand painted (by me) recreation of my daughter portrait I painted in 2007 at 20 years old 8 months pregnant with my beautiful daughter, whom I adopted out to a wonderful family.”

My statement for the 60th @recordingacademy is #CHOOSELIFE. 🙏🏽💗💋 I believe in loving the child and the mother, and I am proudly #ProLife. There is so much pain out there, but I choose to spread love and hope. ❤️💗💕I hand painted my @pronovias gown with a recreation of my daughter’s sonogram portrait I painted in 2007 at 20 years old, 8 months pregnant with my beautiful daughter, whom I adopted out to a wonderful family. I’m incredibly blessed to have given life, and I hope to encourage anyone in a similar painful situation to choose adoption. 🙏🏽 I also hand painted my #Chooselife bag! And my gorgeous crown is made in USA, NYC. My dress comes from nonprofit @thebridalgardennyc who donates all of the proceeds to @brooklyncharterschool supporting underprivileged minority children. #love #blessed #life #grammys #grammys2018 #joyvillagrammys #joyvillamusic #grammysnyc #redcarpet #grammysfashion #MAGA #princessjoyvilla

The outspoken conservative is also a proud Trump supporter who believes in a unified nation standing behind our President, regardless of your political affiliation.

“I stand as a proud American, and I stand for a unified America that is tolerant of each other no matter who we voted for,” says Villa. “I stand behind our President because that’s the American thing to do.”
