Tuesday night, DeAndre Nico took to ‘The Voice’ stage to face-off Lynnea Moorer in the Live Top 11 Eliminations.
The 22-year-old Texan powerfully sang the gospel song “Take Me to the King” in his attempt to stay on Team Adam and make his way into the Top 10.
As the lyrics rang out with grace and truth, Nico brought the audience to their feet in worship of the one true King, and was it EVER a beautiful sight to see?!
Now, more than ever, artists are displaying their Christian roots on the secular stage, and it is proving to pay OFF. In a viewer voting, Nico won the sing-off against Moorer, who performed Ariana Grande’s “Tattooed Heart.”
“Does it feel right for this guy to go home? …He deserves to be in the finale!” said Adam Levine.
