Wonder Years Star Danica McKellar Thanks Candace Cameron Bure for Leading her to Christ

In a public conversation with Candace Cameron Bure, former “Wonder Years” star, Danica McKellar opened up about a new journey she’s been on with Jesus in the past year.

Danica McKellar of Wonder Years recently opened up about her decision to follow Jesus, saying, “I can tell you I’m experiencing a relationship with God and Jesus that I’ve never had before, and it feels miraculous.”

The 47-year-old actress, author, executive producer, and mathematician began sharing about this journey with Christ in April when she went live on Instagram to openly discuss her thoughts and experiences.

At the time of the video, she explained that although her father had taken her to church occasionally, such as on holidays, she had a skeptical view of Christianity for most of her life.

Danica McKellar shared how Christianity has been “used for evil, power, and control throughout history, and that had definitely biased me.”

After discussing the reasons she’d not been for Christianity in the past, she told her audience, “I’ve been discovering the pure part of it, the part that’s actually the core of it.”

Giving the disclaimer that she was “not here to preach,” the actress who played Winnie Cooper on Wonder Years said that Candace Cameron helped her to see Christianity in a new light.

She told her Instagram audience, “I have so much love in my heart I just had to share what I’m experiencing, and to share a little why I believe it’s taken me up to this point to begin this journey.”

“It all started one evening when I was struggling with the idea of forgiveness,” Wonder Years star Danica McKellar explained. “[I] DM’d my good friend @candacecbure about a passage from the Bible she had read on her instastories, and then she sent me a Bible, and invited me to church.”

As Danica McKellar shared with her audience, she said that she’d always felt like she’d had a relationship with a higher power, but her developing relationship with Jesus Christ has changed her life in a miraculous way in 2022.

“It feels so free and joyful and that must be the kind of freedom we all want,” the Wonder Years star said.

In response to the Instagram post, Candace Cameron Bure wrote, “God’s love is bigger than any human love and when He sweeps you up in understanding how powerful it is, because He is, it’s undeniable. Praying for you on your journey and relationship with Jesus my sweet friend.”

And Danica McKellar’s continued to develop throughout 2022, as she shared with Candace Cameron Bure on a Christmas episode the former Full House star’s YouTube channel.
