The Travel Hack Sparks a Variety of Comments
A commenter by the name NotInterested offered a good point about safety when attempting this airplane seating hack. “What is the plan if someone shows up and then doesn’t want to move? You could be putting a stranger between you and your child.”
“As a family of 4 we book the middle & window behind each other.” Brittany, recognizing the perceived annoyance. “I’m not counting on an empty middle OR someone switching seats.”
Ceci offered, “I honestly can’t stand when people do this and then expect me to move or switch seats.”
“I was on standby and got seated in the middle seat and the family was like mad at me???” Vanessa continued, “I gladly moved so they can sit next to eachother but why get mad at me?”
“I’d be the guy refusing to move from the middle just to prove a point,” said Zubby.
Be sure to check the airline policies. Southpaw mentioned, “Airlines don’t allow you to leave the middle seat empty if you booked both the outer seats with the same credit card.”
