When the Hayes’ family hit some of the hardest times of their lives, their minivan was repossessed. The family’s remaining sedan couldn’t fit the entire family of eight. So, Hayes’ friend, Craig, handed over the keys and the title to his own minivan and blessed the family with a vehicle that would fit them all.

“His kindness meant that the family would have a vehicle big enough for all of the Hayes children to have a seatbelt,” according to the organization’s website.

The fund challenges everyone to “be a Craig.” That is, generously giving to someone in need. People can submit a story of someone in need and request that their needs be met. The organization also has opportunities to purchase T-shirts or donate, with all proceeds going to meet the needs of others.
