When I find myself within the scorching furnace of suffering, when I’m being swallowed by the leviathan of suffering, my trials don’t seem like what it says in the light momentary affliction verse.

"See, here’s the deal. Any time the church attempts to mimic the world, in any way, it comes off as a terrible parody. It just doesn’t work."

"So how do we wait for the Lord in a way that honors him, fills us with hope, and gives us strength to carry on even when we feel like we’re in the dark?"

There’s something much more profound, glorious, and serious at stake.

Now, one thing that’s really important to note as you read these verses. You probably won’t FEEL any different... but as you read these, thank God that they're true, regardless of what you feel.
