Justin opened up about starting a family in a December 2020 appearance on the Ellen Degeneres Show, saying wants children but he was respecting his wife’s timeline.
“I am going to have as many [babies] as Hailey is wishing to push out. I’d love to have myself a little tribe,” the “Baby” singer said at the time. “But, yeah, it’s her body and whatever she wants to do. … I think she wants to have a few.”
When asked by DeGeneres why the couple was waiting, Justin replied, “There’s not really an issue.”
“But I think Hailey still has some things she wants to accomplish as a woman, and I think … she’s just not ready yet. And that’s okay,” he said.
In the years since, the couple has endured their share of health scares with Haley Bieber first finding a small blood clot on her brain in 2022, followed by Justin Bieber being diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome.
The rare condition caused the singer to become temporarily paralyzed on one side of his face. In an update to fans, he pointed to his faith in God for getting him through.
“By this point in my life I realize storms come and go,” Justin Bieber said. “Jesus continues to remind me that he is with me in the midst of the storm. It’s not about the storm. It’s that we are NEVER ALONE AND HE UNDERSTANDS.”
