Chip and Joanna Gaines have been ALL the media buzz since they announced in October that they’d be stepping away from their wildly successful HGTV show ‘Fixer Upper’ to focus on family. And it seems they’ve wasted NO time at all.
After last night’s episode, the couple announced that they are pregnant with Gaines baby #5 in this hilariously adorable Instagram shot.
“Gaines party of 7,” wrote Chip alongside the double baby-bump photo. “(If you’re still confused.. WE ARE PREGNANT)”
Chip’s not-so-subtle hint drops about pickles and ice cream and ‘number 5’ gave fans a pretty solid lead on the news to come, but that didn’t hinder the explosion of excitement that ensued after the big reveal.

Amassing over a million likes and thousands of comments overnight, to say fans are STOKED for this latest addition to the Fixer Upper fam would be an understatement…
The HGTV stars are already parents to Emmie Kay (7), Duke (9), Ella (11), and Drake (12), and they can’t WAIT to welcome baby number 5 to their cozy Waco farmhouse.
According to the ultrasound posted by Jo today, Chip already swears this one’s a boy!
He also jokingly gave fans a little insight into the night the baby was conceived.
“Hint #3 You might recall a few months back.. the ever amazing, ever romantic @JOHNNYSWIM was in Waco,” he tweeted. “And they put on a little too romantic of a concert.. anyways, one thing led to another, & we are officially pregnant. And I could not be more EXCITED! #5 #7ThePerfectNumber”
Chip alluded to their desire to have more kids a couple months ago in an interview with ABC. “We had four babies right before the show started, and then we’ve had zero babies since the show started. For me, I’m really excited to go back and try to maybe . . . try to make some more babies.”
Joanna seconded her husband’s enthusiasm to grow their family last summer. “I would love another baby — or twins!” she told PEOPLE. “The kids are always asking me, ‘Mom, can you have another baby?’”
Well, it looks like these proud parents got their wish. We couldn’t be happier for the Gaines’ and their newest addition to their shiplap-loving household!
