As the class of 2024 graduates and the school year comes to a close, there’s a new trend happening on social media that has all of us sentimentals feeling unwell over how fast time flies.

“God Is Going to Be a Part of This Marriage”: Chris Pratt & Katherine Schwarzenegger’s Marriage To Be Faith-Focused

Since the age of 19 when Chris Pratt met a man who was “sent by God,” the actor has been bold about his faith life and commitment to Jesus Christ as savior.

Though Pratt admittedly has made his fair share of mistakes along the way and by no means claims to be a perfect Christian, he continues to make God a priority and uses his celebrity platform to praise the Lord on social media, award shows, and more.

“That kind of message, it might not be for everybody,” he told the Associated Press in an earlier interview. “But there is a group of people for whom that message is designed. And nothing files my soul more than to think that maybe some kid watching that would say, ‘Hey, I’ve been thinking about praying. Let me try that out.’”

As Pratt heads into his second marriage to Katherine Schwarzenegger, the actor is as determined as ever to have a faith-filled union founded upon God — though he’s received great criticism for “moving too fast” after his high-profile divorce.

“Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes!” he wrote in an Instagram announcement last week.” I’m thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you.”

“It won’t be a long engagement,” said a source who knows the couple, citing that Schwarzenegger was talking about a summer 2019 wedding.

In a birthday tribute to his sweetheart in December, Pratt wrote: “thrilled God put you in my life.”

The picture featured Schwarzenegger holding a wooden sign etched with the words of 1 Timothy 1:14:

“Grace mixed with faith and love poured over me and into me. And all because of Jesus.”

While Schwarzenegger was raised in a Catholic home, she has reportedly been attending nondenominational churches over the last several years.

“They’re going to want a religious wedding,” an insider told People Magazine.  “I know that Chris does, and I assume that she does, too. God is going to be a part of this marriage.”

“He’s constantly around other people who have no faith or are apologetic about it, but not her,” the source added. “She is willing to talk about it to anyone who will listen.”
