Chris Pratt Marries Katherine Schwarzenegger “In Front of God” in Intimate Weekend Ceremony

Actor Chris Pratt married fiancée Katherine Schwarzenegger on Saturday in an intimate ceremony he called “moving and emotional.”

The “Guardians of the Galaxy” star announced the nuptials to his 25 million Instagram followers on Sunday alongside a picture of the newlyweds donning ear-to-ear smiles and custom-made Armani.

“Yesterday was the best day of our lives!” the 39-year-old wrote. “We became husband and wife in front of God, our families and those we love.”

“It was intimate, moving and emotional,” he continued. “We feel so blessed to begin this new chapter of our lives. Schwarzenegger, a 29-year-old author, is the daughter of actor Arnold Schwarzenegger and journalist Maria Shriver.

“You can tell today is the happiest day for Katherine,” a source told PEOPLE. “She hasn’t stopped smiling. And Chris seems giddy with excitement. The venue is beautiful. Lots of flowers and greenery everywhere. It’s a very romantic setting for a wedding.”

“The whole family took wedding photos, including her parents Maria [Shriver] and Arnold [Schwarzenegger],” the source added. “Everyone just looked so happy.”

Pratt announced their engagement in January of this year after dating Schwarzenegger for seven months. He previously ended his 9-year marriage to actress Anna Faris in 2018.
