“My 3-Year-Old Daughter Was LOCKED Inside the Airtight Washing Machine”: Mom Posts Urgent Warning After Scary Washing Machine Incident

“We are continually surprised at the new, inventive ways our kids come up with to try and die.”

Those are the chilling but true words of Lindsey McIver who almost lost her daughter to a preventable accident that she didn’t even know existed. While Lindsey and her husband were lying in bed one morning, their 4-year-old son ran upstairs crying, saying “Kloe. Inside. Washer.”

Luckily for the McIver family, who says they were blessed by God’s mercy on their sweet daughter, their Kloe is still alive after being run through an active cycle in their new front-loading washer.

While terrified of the parent shaming that was sure to ensue, Lindsey couldn’t help but share her story with others in hopes that it may save other parents from making the same mistake.

Read Lindsey’s story and urgent warning in her Facebook post below:

“I’ve been hesitant to write this post. First, because of the inevitable online mom-shaming that is bound to ensue; and second, because it’s just really hard to re-live.

On Sunday our washing machine broke down. On Monday my husband went to Lowe’s and purchased this new front load washing machine. We thought it was the ‘new and cool’ type of washing machine and didn’t think anything of it. We spent that evening installing it with the kids underfoot. We told them several times that they were not to touch it. They all replied ‘OK.’
