Friends Blindfold Woman With Brain Cancer—When She Sees the “Medicine” They Brought Her, She’s Wrecked!

Forget bridal and baby showers—PUPPY showers are now officially a thing. Quite literally.

Thanks to the Front Street Animal Shelter in Sacramento, who helped coordinate a beautiful surprise for an unsuspecting cancer patient.

At the age of 28, Courtney was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer, and she’s been fighting her battle against the “Big C” ever since.

A big animal lover and passionate for all things Retriever and Labradoodle, Courtney has dreamed for over a year to be showered with pups—so in an effort to lift her spirits, friends and family decided that making this magic happen would the best medicine anyone could offer.

When they let the Front Street Animal Shelter know about Courtney’s big wish, the shelter couldn’t have been more excited to orchestrate the once-in-a-lifetime surprise.

“When her friends and family reached out to us, we were thrilled to make this magical day happen,” they shared on Facebook. “At just 28, Courtney has been battling brain cancer for over 3 years, and we hope that the healing power of puppies has brought her one step closer to recovery!”

They blindfolded Courtney and led her onto an oversized bean bag, just before releasing EVERY single puppy in the shelter into her arms for a tearfully sweet cuddle-fest.
