WATCH: Abortion Survivor Burned in Mom’s Womb for 18 Hours Jumps for the First Time in Her Life

“Instead of dying, after 18 hours of being burned in my mother’s womb, I was delivered alive in an abortion clinic in Los Angeles on April the 6th, 1977. My medical records state: ‘Born alive during saline abortion at 6 am.’ “

These are the chilling words of Gianna Jessen, an abortion survivor who lived through a saline abortion procedure 42 years ago.

“I should be blind, burned, and dead,” explained Jessen. “Had [the doctor] been there, he would have ended my life with strangulation, suffocation, or leaving me to die without a thought.”

Jessen is the living miracle and pro-life advocate who had the guts to ask a House Judiciary Committee, “If abortion is about women’s rights, then what were mine?

The Nashville resident has made it her life mission to stand up for the unborn by testifying before Congress and traveling across the globe to tell her story.

Over the decades, her message has continued to inspire millions and champion for the right to life… but her own life has not been without struggle.

While Jessen survived the abortion as a baby, the lack of oxygen to her brain caused her to develop cerebral palsy. Many of the physical activities we partake in every day are nearly impossible for her — which is why a recent announcement she made on Twitter marked such a special, celebratory moment.

“This is not the prettiest video I have ever seen in my life and I kind of want to die posting it. But, it’s a big deal. Today, I hopped around like a little bunny,” Jessen tweeted alongside a video of her jumping for the first time.

“Feeling what it felt like to jump without holding on since I was a child, I will try to jump prettier next time,” she added, considering the playful act pure joy by the look on her face.

Jessen, who credits her miracle story and every breath she takes to her Lord Jesus Christ, was quick to credit God for the little victory that she’s waited 42 years to achieve.

“Lord! You helped me let go of the railings down the steps today and balance, more than once,” she wrote. “You helped me hop like a bunny and laugh. I wonder if You laughed beside me as You steadied me?

Thank You.

I am Yours.

and all my Victories are Yours.”

“Saved by the power of Jesus Christ,” said Jessen in an earlier interview with Daily Signal. “I am unashamedly a Christian, will not change that part of my story. I have no need to be embarrassed by that.”
