God’s Letter to the Ones Who Are Lost in Their 20s

By Marie Cyprien

You’re lost.

I say it with love and the best intentions. You are lost in a fallen world because this world is broken. You’re probably mad at Me because barely anything is going the way you planned and the world always seems to be falling apart.

That’s okay.

It’s easy to think because I’m God, I am full control of this world but that’s not true. The fall of Adam and Eve was the day when mankind made the choice to separate from Me. This world is controlled by man, not Me. I can only take control of situations if I am allowed to.

You have the free will to do what you’d like, but like the prodigal son, eventually you’ll get lost and realize that you can’t go about this alone. That’s where I come in. But always know that you will stray away into a wilderness but that doesn’t determine your worth.

People will find healing in your scars.

I’ve watched you go through the intense pain that comes with being in a fallen world. And I’ve collected your tears and wrote them down on My hand. As I pull out the shards in your heart, the healing that comes after will take time and sometimes, even more tears for Me to record.

But take comfort in the fact that there will be people in your life who will find healing in your scars.

You’d be surprised how many people are going through similar struggles as you have. It’s why it helps to be vulnerable and let go of your past. It’s a risk but it’s one that’s worth it because it could save a life. After all, it was opening up to Me that saved yours.

You do have purpose.

I created you before you entered your mother’s womb. I knitted you piece by piece, every thread of who you are in Me. There is a reason why I’ve placed you in such a time as this.

You have a purpose.

That one thing you’re good at, the talent that comes naturally to you, is the core of how I want you to impact this world. Though it seems like it’s falling apart, there is hope in My love and the cross is the evidence of that.

You have what it takes to do what you’ve always wanted to do, but you have to go for it and trust in Me as your guide because I have placed that desire in your heart therefore you can fulfill it.

You have to believe in yourself like I believe in you.

I believe in you because I put you here for a reason. You can do better; you are doing better though it doesn’t feel like it. But you have to believe in yourself. You have to believe you can do it too.

And that takes courage because it’s easy to think all’s lost when you can’t see any change.

But take joy in your humble beginnings. No journey begins perfectly. Even with Me by your side, there will be times like now when you feel like you’re going nowhere.

But as long as you keep pushing through that darkness and trust that I am making a way where there is no way, you are doing much better than you think. So keep going, My beloved child because you will get there. In the meantime, enjoy life, for the present is a gift.
