Hospice Worker Walks Up to Dying Woman’s Bed While She Sleeps—Then They Catch This on Camera

Often times, we hear horror stories about how the elderly are treated in hospitals and nursings homes. It breaks my heart to hear the appalling abuse that runs rampant through so many of these institutions.

But such is not the case at the Austinburg Nursing & Rehab Center in Austinburg, Ohio, where a remarkable act by one hospice worker just went viral for the most amazing reason!

Watch Joshua Woodard serenade his patient Mary with a passionate bedside performance of “How Great Thou Art.” The classic Christian hymn takes on a whole new meaning as it seeps into this woman’s soul just days before her death.

And what makes this extra special is that Josh actually knew Mary since he was 9-years-old, and she’s the one who taught him to sing. Talk about a gift coming full circle.

“Hospice workers are angels but this hospice aide is special,” said Mary’s daughter-in-law, Marti. “Mary taught voice and piano in her day and this aide Joshua Woodard was one of her students as a kid. Special people hospice workers are!”

This is truly the last lullaby that anybody would dream of sending them into eternal rest.
