“Don’t Ever Talk About Yourself Like That in Front of Our Girls Again”: Husband Calls Wife Out, Sends Powerful Message to Women Everywhere

When it comes to raising strong, cherished women in Christ—who understand and value true, authentic self-love—we really suck.

Not only does society make it impossible to feel proud of the skin you’re in, but Satan has a stronghold on most of us in that his lies and tactics are powerful in making us feel worthless.

What’s worse is that we often speak our own insecurities onto the next generation. When our daughters are young, we are the most beautiful woman they’ve ever seen. Beauty is everywhere, and anyone wearing a dress is automatically a princess.

But as they mature, the way we see ourselves—and more importantly the way we speak about ourselves—directly influences the way they think about themselves.

If you’re the most beautiful woman in the world, and you’re disgusted by yourself, then you’ve inadvertently created a cycle for your daughter to only believe the same lies about herself.

But mamas, it’s time we take a stand. No more self-hate—we weren’t created to live that way.

HaHas for HooHas blogger, Anna Lind Thomas, speaks some honest and powerful truth to the body image mess we’re guilty of getting ourselves stuck in.

In a moment of brutal honesty, her own husband called her out about her cruel self-talk in front of their daughters—and now Anna is passing the sobering but powerful message along to others facing the same struggle.

Check out her video below, and SHARE with a mama who needs this body-lovin’ reminder today!

Rob called me out and I’ll never be the same.

If you’ve been guilty of this, lets make a pact – me and you – today – to never do this again. Hit me with some praise hands!
