“I Just Want to Thank Jesus”: Watch Lauren Daigle Accept Her First Grammys at 2019 Award Show

Christian singer Lauren Daigle won her first Grammys last night in both categories that she was nominated in: Best Contemporary Christian Music Album for “Look Up Child” and Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for “You Say.”

Daigle was previously nominated for Grammys in both 2016 and 2017.

With “Look Up Child” debuting at number 3 on the Billboard 200 chart, beating out artists like Ariana Grande, Cardi B, and Nicki Minaj, it has already been quite a year for the rising star. Additionally, Daigle’s song “You Say” has now sat at number one on the Billboard Christian chart for its 18th week in a row.

The Christian artist’s year of musical successes has also led to her perform on some major secular platforms including “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” “Good Morning America,” and “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

I love that music gives us the opportunity to look up. It gives us the opportunity to spread love to the entire world.”
