Of the post about how Whelchel takes off her wig, one Twitter user said, “Rock on, girl. Wigs are hot and itchy. Cancer takes so much from us, don’t let it take your self esteem, too. Rock that short hair and funky glasses and big earrings! Rock on, Christine!”
Another posted, “THANKS, Christine. After her chemo for breast cancer, my daughter’s hair is about the same length. All women who have survived the treatment should be unafraid to be normal. Congrats on your winning and continued recovery.”
Still others posted their own post-cancer recovery photos, such as @lhess1983 did here:

Twitter, user @lhess1983, along with a photo where she also takes off her wig, said, “Go Christine! from a fellow warrior.”
And @annieslight7 said along with her post-cancer recovery photo: “This was me, 8 years ago. I was so happy to have my hair back, even if it was so short! NED since. Christine, you look beautiful.”

On Monday night, Whelchel went onto win again. She began Final Jeopardy! with $11,800, ahead of her two other contestants who had $7,000 and $1,400. After she was the only contestant to answer “What is Sarajevo?” she secured a win for the night, bringing the Jeopardy champion a total of $73,602 over the course of the four nights.
The Jeopardy champion who takes her wig off went on for a fifth night, which was her last. But the lasting message she left for those going through what she went through, or for those supporting someone in a similar situation, will last forever! If nothing more, her bravery can inspire us all.
