Teen McDonald’s Worker Pays for Family’s Meal When Crying Mother-of-Three Forgot Her Purse, She Pays Him Back In The Best Way

Crying Mother Comes Back With an Award

Wyatt’s kindness toward the Reed family when the McDonald’s worker pays for their meal couldn’t have come at a better time. According to Brittney, the carload full of crying kids was only a small part of the family’s trouble.

Their daughter had recently been ill, and their friends had raised money to cover their hotel costs while they stayed near the hospital during their daughter’s hospital stay.

Wyatt truly stopped me in my tracks. My family has been BLESSED to be on the receiving end of kindness,” Reed said. “Just recently, our friends organized a fundraiser to cover hotel costs for our daughter’s upcoming hospital visit. I know how humbling it can be to be on the receiving end of kindness, BUT this hit different for me. This young man didn’t know our ‘story,’ but was compelled to cover our food that day. He whipped out his wallet WITHOUT HESITATION simply because he was trying to be kind.”

That’s what gave them the idea to start a fundraising campaign on GoFundMe for Wyatt. When they were finally able to connect with his mother, they learned he was saving up for a car; so they got permission from his mother and shared the story online. The response was huge, bringing in 2.8K donations from $5 to $1,053, as of today! Brittney and her husband were able to present Wyatt with $50,000!

Wyatt has used the money to purchase a car and save up for college.

Donators cheered Wyatt on with messages of encouragement.

One donator of the story of the McDonald’s worker pays for a meal, said, “The Lord lead me to this post, it wasn’t by accident. After reading it, I started crying happy tears & the Holy Spirit moved me to donate. There are good people on this earth & I know God says, give, a good measure & it will be measured back to you until you are overflowing.” The donator went on to pray for Wyatt and his future.
