The Investigation Continues

The Wheat Ridge Police Department is still in the early stages of investigating the accident. The debris from the semi-truck spanned more than two football fields across the highway, creating a complex and challenging scene for investigators. Authorities have emphasized that the investigation will take time to complete as they work to gather all the facts and determine the sequence of events that led to this tragic loss of life.

“While we understand people want answers, this is an incredibly complicated investigation that will take weeks, not days, to complete,” the Wheat Ridge Police Department stated. “We are working in conjunction with our partners at the First Judicial DA’s Office of Colorado on potential charges.”

In the wake of this tragedy, the police have extended their full support to the families affected and are working closely with Victim Outreach Incorporated (VOI) to provide assistance during this difficult time. The department has also appealed to any witnesses of the crash to come forward with information that could aid in the investigation.

A Call for Support and Prayer

As the community rallies around the grieving family, there is a deep sense of sorrow for the lives lost so suddenly and tragically. Ruben and Juliana’s love story, cut short by this devastating accident, is a reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing every moment with our loved ones.

The couple leaves behind their young son, Daniel, who now faces a future without his parents. The family’s GoFundMe page has been set up to help cover the expenses related to this tragedy and to provide for Daniel’s future needs.

In these moments of profound grief, the community is called to support the family not just financially, but through prayer and compassion. Let us keep Carlos Plata and the entire family in our thoughts and prayers as they navigate this heartbreaking loss. May they find strength and comfort in the love and support of those around them as they mourn the passing of their beloved Ruben, Juliana, and Luz.

If you feel led to contribute to the family’s GoFundMe or to offer words of support, your kindness would be a blessing during this incredibly difficult time. Together, we can help carry the burden of this tragedy and remind the family that they are not alone in their grief.
