One Year After I Left My Wife for a Younger, Prettier Woman

They say that beauty fades, but love lasts forever. Unfortunately, for about 50 percent of Americans, it tends to be the other way around.

Hefty.co recently shared a story of a man who learned that lesson the hard way.

After years of marriage, he left his wife for a younger, more attractive woman. He’d believed his wife’s faded beauty was only a memory, so they separated.

“My ex was flabby, unkempt, didn’t shave and had droopy breasts,” he said. “I no longer found her attractive.”

It wasn’t until after he left his wife that he learned just how beautiful she always was. Exactly one year later, he saw her again.

“She was glowing and had lost weight,” he observed in awe. “She was once again beautiful. She no longer shared the wear-and-tear of the years.”

But what’s more is that he saw her beauty came from within and could be seen in the love and attention she selflessly gave to him and their children. The beauty of her heart was so strong that it radiated through her and was visible on the outside as well — even when her ex-husband was too blind to appreciate it.
