“I Looked Over to His Side of the Bed. He Wasn’t There. I Knew He Wouldn’t Be There, But for the First Time, It...

"I looked back to the bed. Still empty. And then it happened. I fell to my knees, and then to my back. It came from up from my gut. I could almost physically feel it moving to the top of my abdomen, to my chest, into my neck and then my head. I cannot describe the pain."

Pastor Asks Stranger if He Can Take Her Baby Home — Leaving His Wife Speechless

“They were covered in bug bites, head to toe,” said his wife, Krystal. “They were so filthy, that we actually had to bathe, and drain, and bathe again, two different times. The toddler who did have shoes on didn’t have any socks on. When we took his shoes off, the little skin on the top of his feet actually came off.”

They returned the freshly cleaned tots to their parents and told them to please contact them if they ever needed a warm place to stay again.

“We returned them as promised so all we could do was pray for them,” said Krystal.

What the Stewarts didn’t know is that one day was about to turn into a lifetime of care for these young boys.

“We’re walking out of service to our car and the parents approach us with their children and a social worker and ask us, ‘Would you be willing to temporarily take our children while we decide what we’re going to do?’ We just looked at each other and knew, there was no other option. Of course we said yes,” Krystal told Fox 13.
