How Diana Survived COVID-19, a Heart Attack, 3 Strokes, and Multiple Seizures
Diana told ABC News, “The last thing I remember was me telling him that I don’t want to be put on the ventilator and that I could die.”
Although Diana doesn’t remember much of her 139 days in the hospital, her husband and family and the hospital workers do.
Chris Crouch told ABC News, “You have to sit there and watch her struggle and none of it was easy.”
Chris and her their main doctor, Cameron Dezfulian, attribute her recovery to God.
Dezfulian recalls that even after Diana’s heart attack and several seizures, Diana’s husband still had hope through his faith and trust in God. He shared, “And the next morning, I remember him coming in and he said, ‘I know this is going to be okay…God just has told me this is going to be okay. But I think, him saying that and just how sure he was about it, that made me feel so much better.”
Chris said that Dezfulian then prayed with him and they left it to God.
They also had churches praying for them, such as you can see on this live service from Family Worship Center:
And despite all the hardships and what looked like a hopeless situation, she did miraculously improved to a point where the medical professionals were able to perform a c-section. Baby Cameron, named after Dezfulian, spent three weeks in the hospital and then both mother and baby were able to go home.
Dezfulian explains how he sees Diana’s 139 days in the hospital and how she survived COVID-19, “Both for me and for her parents, and we were both Christians, and we really felt like this was miraculous. We prayed a lot and we felt like God was kind of helping us because there’s no textbook on these things. We had to make some really tough choices that could have easily gone poorly. And yet they didn’t.”
Thank God for the miracle of Diana’s survival after 139 days in the hospital!
