Sadie Robertson Responds to News of Phil Robertson’s Daughter From Previous Affair

The Duck Dynasty clan recently found out they have an addition to their family tree!

On an episode of the BlazeTV podcast Unashamed With Phil Robertson, the family patriarch announced that he just found out he has a 45-year-old daughter named Phyliss from an affair during his pre-Jesus days.

Phil made the startling announcement alongside his four sons: Al, Jep, Willie, and Jase.

The 74-year-old couldn’t be happier about the surprising news, calling it “a pretty cool explanation of redemption, reconciliation, [and] love.”

“As it turns out, 45 years, you have a daughter that you don’t know about, and she has a father she doesn’t know about. Forty-five years, that doesn’t sound like very long but you say, that’s a while. So finally, after all those years, we come together.”

The rest of the Robertsons have been just as excited to invite Phyliss to the Duck Dynasty fam.

In fact, Phil’s granddaughter, Sadie, posted a sweet caption on her Instagram Story earlier this week, alongside a picture of mother, Korie Robertson, and her aunts happily posing with Phyliss on a beach.

“The bigger the better,” wrote 22-year-old Sadie.

Korie also shared the adorable photo to her Instagram account with another heartwarming caption:

“We have a new sister! We found out not long ago that Phil has a daughter, and Willie and his brothers have a sister,” wrote Korie.”It was as much a surprise to all of us as it probably is to you, but life is full of surprises, and this one is especially sweet!

“Our annual family beach pics were even crazier, she continued. “And the Robertson men are now officially outnumbered so we’re feeling pretty good right about now, ha! Welcome to the fam, Phyllis; I promise it’s never boring.”

Willie also took to social media to share the news of his newfound sister.

“So good finding my long lost sister,” he wrote. Can’t wait to share life with y’all’s family. Welcome to the nuttiest family around.”

Sister-in-law Jessica Robertson shared her own words of excitement over Phyllis, calling it “Jep’s dream [come] true”:

“Jep’s dream came true… he finally got a big sister and we are so excited that Phyllis is in our lives now,” she wrote. “The Robertson family is now bigger and better than ever. For this family, it’s the more the merrier!”
