9 Scriptures on Peace When Someone Hurts You

When someone hurts us, we can feel really alone. We can feel betrayed and not know what to do. If we act out of anger or spite, it’s not God’s best for us, but if we focus on scriptures on peace, God will help us with healing, and he will help us find a way to forgive and move forward. Here are seven more scriptures on peace when someone hurts you:

  1. Isaiah 54:10: “‘Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet My unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor My covenant of peace be removed,’ says the Lord, who has compassion on you.”
  2. Psalm 37:7: “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.”
  3. James 3:18: “Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.
  4. Hebrews 12:14: “Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.
  5. 1 Peter 3:11: “They must turn from evil and do good; they must seek peace and pursue it.”
  6. Proverbs 12:20: “Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, but those who plan peace have joy.”
  7. 2 Corinthians 3:11: “Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.”
  8. Psalm 32:7: “You are my hiding place; You will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.”
  9. Romans 12:17-18: “Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.”

God calls us to peace of mind; so hold onto these verses. With God’s peace we can live with joy. On the other hand, comfort is not God’s ultimate goal for us. Seek God and find out what he has for you because his plan and purpose for you is perfect.
