This Spunky 98-Year-Old’s Cake Smash Photoshoot Is Total #GrandmaGoals

They say age is just a number.

For Grandma Gladys, that couldn’t be more true. The 98-year-old is taking the Internet by storm this week, proving you’re never too old for blue hair, a purple birthday cake and a stylin’ tutu.

“A lot of my friends are having babies and are either doing newborn photoshoots or smash cakes for their child’s first birthday,” the 29-year-old told People Magazine. “She’s the person I do all these fun things with, and that’s where the idea came in, and I wanted to do something special for her.”

Historically, the grand-duo has done special things to mark Gladys’ birthday over the years, like when they got matching maple leaf tattoos on their wrists to celebrate 95.

Shannon says Gladys is “100 percent girly-girl,” so she thought getting her grandma all dolled up for the photoshoot would make her feel great, and be a fun way to celebrate 98.

Sporting a vibrant tutu, and a glass of prosecco that says “98 and looking for a date,” Gladys completely OWNED her cake-smash photoshoot.
