Grace Community Church‘s 81-year-old pastor of over 50 years, John MacArthur, told his congregation this past Sunday that the culture we live in today is systematically declaring war on children as it’s “weaponized to destroy children.”

The suit filed is seeking to stop the enforcement of California’s orders that forbid churches from meeting indoors.

"Government has a certain purview given by God, but it doesn’t cross over into the realm of the kingdom of God, so we’re going to meet."

After refusing to close its doors for indoor worship, Grace Community Church has been issued a cease and desist letter that threatens both John MacArthur and Grace Community Church with daily fines of $1000 or possible arrest.

Last week John MacArthur and Grace Community Church, which is located in Sun Valley California, announced they would not be closing, defying California Governor Gavin Newsom’s reclosure orders.
