Kanye West recently bragged on his new album that he made Taylor Swift “famous” (along with some other vulgar expletives we’ll leave out).
But instead of stooping low, T-Swift waited for her “Album of the Year” Grammy win last night to make her classy play. Swift offered an empowering message to young girls through the speech, but the dual-message directed at Kanye West was anything but subtle. She said:
“As the first woman to win Album of the Year at the Grammys twice, I want to say to all the young women out there, there are going to be people along the way that will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame, but if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you. Someday when you get where you’re going, you will look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you who put you there, and that will be the greatest feeling in the world. Thank you for this moment.”
Taylor Swift fired back at Kanye West during her #Grammys speech.

Well played, Taylor.
Nobody should have to be a doormat for unwarranted criticism, but there’s also a fine line between standing up for yourself and stooping to the level of your adversaries. Regardless of who tries to knock her down, I love how she sets an example of how to put the haters in their proper place without fighting dirty.
That‘s the kind of example our young girls need to see! What do you think of Taylor’s acceptance speech?
