Teary-Eyed Garth Brooks Says, “It Just Kills Me”—When He Hits the Guitar, Ellen’s Speechless

Garth Brooks was in the process of promoting his latest album Man Against Machine and stopped by Ellen to sing “Aint Goin’ Down (Til’ The Sun Comes Up).” During his interview, he decided to surprise the audience by singing an extra song, this one a little more personal for Brooks.

Being a self-proclaimed “Mama’s boy,” Brooks did an emotional acoustic tribute to his mother singing this song about a conversation between God and an unborn baby about to be sent to earth. Brooks lost his mom in 1999 after she lost her battle with cancer.

Here’s the single, appropriately titled “Mom.”
