This overused phrase can be a bit confusing. What we really mean is, “Do you want to repent and believe in Jesus?” If we use this phrase, we need to make sure and explain it–especially to kids.

This is a cliche–and it’s just wrong. God gives us more than we can handle all the time. ALL. THE. TIME. That’s how he grows our faith. The passage we often get confused about is 1 Corinthians 10 — and it’s referring to temptation, not trials or life’s circumstances.
