“I’ve always been a rule follower. When they said not to chew gum, I didn’t chew gum. When they said not to use your cellphone, I didn’t use my cellphone. But today, in the spirit of defying expectations, and for perhaps the last time at this podium, I say..."

High School Valedictorian Delivers Graduation Speech Hours After Dad’s Funeral

Early College High School valedictorian Alem Hadzic has gone viral after he took the stage at his graduation ceremony to deliver his speech—just hours after his father's funeral.

“I Hope You’re Best Friends With God”—Heartwarming Video Shows Boy Having Conversation With Dad in Heaven

The video was shared, loved, and commented on.

NewComer Funeral Homes of Rochester, New York, shared about the boy on their Facebook account.

Along with the video, Good Morning America did an interview of Nicco and Jayda.

According to his sister, this family meeting wasn’t an unlikely occurrence. The boy often invites others to join in his mourning.

“He’ll ask me every single day, ‘Sissy, Are you sad?'” shared Jayda. “Do you miss dad?”

Jayda explained that she tries to help her brother understand that it’s okay to be sad, and they encourage each other, reminding one another that they still have each other.

Nicco isn’t the only one who initiates a conversation with dad in heaven, however. Jayda said, “Every day we talk to our dad,” sharing that she talks to her dad often when she’s in her car.

Apparently, the kids followed after their dad’s faith. “He is…a mini version of my dad,” said Jayda.

Viewers of the video on YouTube were seemingly moved. One said, “You don’t even have to be a spiritual person to see this man loved his children. But dang, you can definitely see something divine by the way they continue to love him.”

“The way little Nicco perked up and smiled with pride when his sister Jayda said that he was like his Dad. It just melted my heart,” wrote another YouTube user. “Losing a loved one is so hard. It’s important to support each other through the heartache and in keeping their memory alive. Sending all the prayers and warm thoughts to you both.”

One person was particularly moved by the relationship between siblings, saying “Wow, these kids are amazing. The way they comfort each other and are so well-spoken shows how great their father raised them. Rest In Peace.”

But Nicco and Jayda aren’t the only ones who like to talk to their loved ones in heaven.

One TikTok video shares a little girl talking to her dad, saying “I really really miss you,” and “Mommy says you’re safe now.”
