According to Audrey’s mother, the 11-year-old Pflugerville girl “was just smiling nonstop from ear to ear.”
In addition to this exciting experience for Audrey, the Anthony Harris Foundation even offered to help with some of the costs the 11-year-old girl and her family would incur for the event, such as her shoes, her dress, and anything else she’d need, such as accessories or hair styling.
The 11-year-old girl recalls the special treatment saying, “It felt so cool, so I’ve gone to get my hair cut but never to get my hair straightened and my makeup done and all that stuff. It felt like special treatment.”
Audrey shared how dancing with her the NFL player was her favorite part of the night.
However, the 11-year-old Pflugerville girl and her family weren’t the only ones moved by this special gesture by Anthony Harris.
Many Facebook users who saw the story encouraged Audrey and Anthony.

Some who hadn’t even been fans of Anthony Harris joined Audrey’s family and became instant fans themselves after seeing how he went to the daddy-daughter dance with Audrey. One Facebook user said, “Mr. Anthony Harris!!! I am now a huge fan of yours. What a wonderful and beautiful display of kindness and sensitivity.”
