The Reason This Husband Is Sitting Out in His Car in 98-Degree Weather Will Totally Wreck Your Soul

Everyone dreams of a love story that lasts a lifetime. One that puts even Allie and Noah to shame in a Nicholas Sparks’ Notebook ending.

In a time when 50 percent of marriages end in divorce, and growing old together happens seldom now, Brent Kelley had the privilege of witnessing something truly extraordinary on Monday afternoon.

After a day at the pool with his kids, Brent made a stop by the local Sonic in Fairview, Tennessee, for some tasty treats.

“When I got my ice cream and pulled out, I realized that this elderly man beside me was sitting out side his car door, spoon feeding his wife ice cream who also looked in her late 80s.”

Brent Kelley

“He draped a towel over her and slowly fed his bride in the 98 degree temperature. It was a beautiful display of love.”

Brent was able to capture a brief snapshot of the tender moment between husband and wife.

Considering this is what romantic dreams are made of, it’s no surprise that Brent’s post went viral overnight.

As one commenter put it, his post just confirms one thing: “The world is starving for ice cream and love.”
