Stranger Takes Photo of Family at Disney—Then He Promises He’s Not “Creepy” & Makes 1 Heartbreaking Request

Meghan Markle: How the Soon-to-Be Duchess of Sussex Measures Up

It’s official: An announcement released from Kensington Palace early this morning confirmed the news that Prince Harry and American actress Meghan Markle are getting married.

And while she may best be known in the states for her role playing Rachel Zane in the hit legal drama Suits, being an actress is actually the least of Meghan Markle’s concerns.

An influential women’s right’s activist and outspoken feminist, Markle spends her time off-screen inspiring others to make a change. In 2015, Markle was honored as the UN Women’s Advocate for Political Participation and Leadership, in which she shared the pivotal moment in her childhood that became the catalyst for doing good, and BEING the change she wanted to see in the world.

An Ambassador for World Vision, the actress traveled to Rwanda with the Christian organization in 2016 where she witnessed first-hand the impact that clean water has on the lives of children and communities in Africa.

“The contrast between communities that do and do not have access to clean water had a great impact on me,” she told World Vision. “One borehole can bring life-giving water to as many as 500 people! I’m on a mission to build wells in Africa, and I’m asking each of you to join me and see how many wells we can build together.”

The royal women have long been known for their charity work, humanitarian efforts and spreading good.

The late Princess Diana was most affectionately known as “The People’s Princess.” Loved by many, she left a legacy behind and some MASSIVE shoes for her future daughter-in-laws to fill. Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, has lived up to the expectations during her time so far in the royal family.

With her laundry list of accolades and global interests, it seems Markle, the soon-to-be Duchess of Sussex, will follow suit.

Prince Harry and Meghan are believed to be tying the knot in Spring of 2018.
