“Not a Single Bible Was Burned”: Horrific Church Fire Forces Firefighters Out, Leaves Crosses & Bibles Unharmed

While a fire burned a West Virginia church to ashes early Sunday morning, the Word of God within it remained.

Freedom Ministries of Grandview, West Virginia was set ablaze at 1 a.m. Sunday, but their Bibles were left nearly untouched by the flames.

Firefighters dispatched from the Coal City Fire Department had to back out of the devastating fire at a certain point because it was too hot — so they were in complete awe when they later saw what items had survived the tragedy.

“On March 3 around 12:58 [a.m.] our department was dispatched to assist Beaver VFD with a structure fire at the Freedom Ministries Church, located in Grandview WV,” wrote the Coal City Fire Department on Facebook. “Though odds were against us, God was not.”

Picture this, a building so hot that at one point in time, firefighters had to back out. In your mind, everything should be burned, ashes. Not a single [B]ible was burned and not a single cross was harmed!! Not a single firefighter was hurt! Prayers for the pastor and the congregation today.”

The above caption posted along with the striking photos below quickly went viral, amassing over 37,000 shares.

The stunning discoveries were made on Sunday when on-site firefighters were sifting through the remaining rubble.

Christians across the nation have deemed the event a miracle from the divine.

While skeptics have their doubts, per usual, Facebook commenter Cecelia M. Stierman perhaps said it best:

“For those who believe in God, no explanation is necessary. For those who do not believe in God, no explanation will suffice.”
