A third of the unexplained phenomena is the death stare/reach
Julie explained that patients who are near death often stare off into the distance or reach for something (or someone) not visible in the room. She calls this the death stare or death reach (or… the heaven stare or heaven reach).
Patients typically don’t seem bothered or agitated by this, so medical professionals typically do nothing to change the situation.
