A Hospice Nurse Talks About the ‘Rally’ and Other Unexplained Phenomena Right Before Death

This hospice nurse shares a fourth phenomenon of the death process

Julie mentions that this might be one of her favorite phenomena when someone is dying. She cannot explain how it happens, but many of her patients choose when they die. Some wait until when they are ready. Others have intentionally chosen a day.

It might be that a grandmother is waiting for a family member to arrive and say goodbye. Or, a father waits until all of his kids are gathered in the same room. There are also instances when a person dies when their loved one steps out of the room for just a moment.
