When Larissa met Ian at college in 2005, she never dreamed she'd one day be his wife ... and his caretaker. After a tragic accident left Ian without the ability to speak, walk or care for himself, she did what any woman in love would do: she married him.

Born and raised in Chicago, Brittney is an extroverted introvert who’s serious about community and the importance of storytelling. She finds joy in connecting with women and aims to validate and dignify their stories by sharing her own. As she continues on her healing journey, she hopes to empower Black women to find acceptance and the freedom to be unashamedly themselves.
Don't allow uncertainty to stop you from progressing. In times of doubt, go back to the truth and hold onto it. When we lose our confidence in God because we have been long-suffering, hold onto this promise: God will give you all the strength and endurance you need.
