Sammy Teuch, an Indiana fourth-grader, took his own life earlier this month after enduring what his family has called relentless bullying at the hands of several students.
Instead of spending her Christmas Eve unwrapping presents around the tree, the "Hunger Games" star has created a new tradition in her hometown of Louisville, Kentucky.
“I know so many people feel that same sense of hopelessness that it keeps happening, but then I have to channel that frustration, that anger, but also my love, into this work that I know is going to save lives."
Starting December 4th, St. Jude's "This Shirt Saves Lives" initiative is being promoted by country artists like Kip Moore, Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Bryan, Darius Rucker, Brothers Osborne and Maren Morris across social media.
"There is a common misconception that the mom who miscarries is a very different person than the woman who aborts, but I'm here to say there is no difference. I am both of those women."
