Years ago, a newly divorced Gerald Rogers took to Facebook to reflect on what he wishes he would have known before it was too late. He admits there were a lot of things he could have done differently to save his marriage, and he openly shared the self-effacing letter in the most humble and real way.
There were comments ranging from, ‘You’re a horrible mother for taking your child to a hospital during Corona,’ to ‘I noticed she touched the wall in the video. She’s probably infected now.’
"I hear a familiar voice yell 'YES!' And then she literally runs to the front. There’s some writing on my to-go bag, but i don’t pay much attention to it. I grab my food and head out the door."

You see your mail carrier, they're the front-line. However, the mass amount of employees behind the scenes outnumber the carriers. Clerks, mailhandlers, machine operators, truck drivers, custodians, maintenance personnel and the list goes on and it takes every one of us to pull it off. We operate 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year.
I don’t do a lot of things right in this parenting game, but I’m hoping this one little commitment overshadows a lot of parenting mistakes and miscues I'll find out about when our kids are grown.
