Ellen Alexander was just having a typical Sunday drive in Palmdale, California, when the ever-so-polarizing red, white and blue lights of a police vehicle danced in her rearview mirror.
After pulling over, Ellen was instructed by a Palmdale police officer to exit her vehicle and follow a series of tests, leading her to believe she was a suspect DUI driver.
What Ellen didn’t know is that her boyfriend, Deputy Kevin Bowes, was in on the entire traffic stop.
As Ellen complied with the officer’s instructions, cell phone video footage shows Kevin secretly getting into position for the officer’s final demand.
When he instructs Ellen to turn around and face the other direction, her reaction is PRICELESS!
Congratulations to future Mrs. Deputy Bowes
She thought she was a suspect DUI driver but it was a traffic stop that changed her life. Watch as Deputy Bowes proposes to his future wife. We are so happy for you brother, and thank you for allowing us to be part of this wonderful moment. Welcome to the Tan & Green family, and may you have a wonderful life together. #LASD #AV411 #SheSaidYesPosted by Palmdale Sheriff’s Station on Sunday, October 8, 2017
