After Just a Few Weeks, Pearsall Is Making a Remarkable Recovery
President of football operations and general manager John Lynch visited Pearsall in the hospital. “By the grace of God, Ricky Pearsall is here with the team and doing really well,” Lynch said.
“We just all feel incredibly blessed,” said Lynch.” I was able to be down at the hospital, and I heard it from so many down there, it’s nothing short of miraculous that he came out of this as good as he did.”

As the season was starting the team leadership needed to make a quick decision about Pearsall and his playing status. They relied on doctor’s recommendations and put Pearsall on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury list and benched him for four games.
The team posted a video of Pearsall on the practice field just days after the shooting. “Ricky Pearsall’s itching to get back out there,” the post said.
