Becky Turney was like every other bride on her wedding day. After months of preparing, she was finally going to marry the love of her life, Kelly.
She expected the day to be special, but also very emotional as her son Triston was no longer alive to be there for it.

This sign sat in a seat reserved for the bride’s late son: “I’m in heaven for your wedding so what shall I do? I’ll come down to earth to spend it with you. So save me a seat, just one empty chair. You may not see me but I will be there.”

Little did she know, Triston’s heart would be present at the wedding in the form of a man named Jacob Kilby.

As wedding photography team Love Adventured wrote on their Facebook page, nothing could prepare them for the beauty of this moment:
“I met a man named Jacob Kilby yesterday who is alive because of a heart transplant received from this brides son, Triston. Her son couldn’t be here for the wedding day, but Becky‘s groom, Kelly, surprised her by flying Jacob up to Alaska to stand in as a groomsman, carrying Triston’s heart.”

Kelly stopped the ceremony to reveal his grand surprise and introduce his bride to the man who is alive today because of her son.
As you can imagine, there wasn’t a dry eye around, and the photography team was there to capture every moment.

Before the ceremony, the woman behind the lens got to hear Jacob talk with Triston’s sister about his plans for a heart-healthy life.

Needless to say, Becky’s wedding day was nothing short of perfect.
